Donations under way!

Well, we have been signed up to race for about two weeks now and we finally feel like all of our hard work is finally starting to pay off. Many of us our running regularly and have been enjoying the training process.

We have also been busy planning ways to get the word out, and get donations. With each new donation our confidence grows and the anxiety of meeting such a lofty goal of $24,000.00 seems a little more attainable.

We have created posters, designed business cards and have enlisted the help of our friends and family to help us in this process. We are all very excited to see what will happen next.

We are training to participate in an endurance event as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We are completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. Our inspiration for this Blog and raising money is the little guy you see to the right. Alex is a sweet, energetic two year old who is quick with a hug and a smile. He was diagnosed with Leukemia a little over a month ago and has since endured several bone marrow extractions as well as chemo treatments. Alex has a long road ahead of him but has been blessed with great doctors who are optimistic and are sure of a full recovery. We have created this blog to share with you our progress during the training and also hope to inspire those of you who are reading this to donate money for this cause. We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line...and find a cure!
